Kansas cancels

We are saddened to have to announce that Kansas are cancelling their entire 22 concert European tour this summer, including their show at the Sweden Rock Festival. The stated reason is security concerns over traveling to Europe following a general security recommendation posted by the US state department on May 1st.

The band's full official statement reads as follows:

"KANSAS regretfully announces the cancellation of its 2017 European Tour.  The cancellation is based on safety and security warnings issued by the United States government and various U.S. law enforcement agencies concerning Americans traveling in Europe this summer.  KANSAS is extremely saddened that the band will not be able to perform for its European fans this year."

The Sweden Rock Festival booking team is now searching for a replacement act but asks people to understand that since most touring bands have had their summer plans locked in for a long time, it may prove difficult to find a band similar in size and style. The replacement act will be announced as soon as it has been confirmed.

4-day tickets sold out We knew we already had a very strong line-up, but never, in our wildest dreams, we even considered that we would sell all our 4-day tickets the first day. Of course we are very happy. Thank you! There's still some 4 day VIP tickets and of course the regular 3-day tickets available, but they also sell faster than ever before. We also want to point out that we will release 1-day tickets early next year, but only in a very limited amount! Welcome to Sweden Rock Festival 2018!

Rose Tattoo, Body Count, Turbonegro and more confirmed! Today, we are happy to announce another 7 bands confirmed for this summer's Sweden Rock Festival. Rose Tattoo is probably, with the exception of AC/DC, the most successful Australian hard rock band ever, at least outside their homeland. And yet, they rarely come to Europe and even more rarely to Sweden. This summer, however, it is finally time for Angry Anderson and his cohorts to fire away classics like ''Nice boys'' and ''Rock'n'roll outlaw'' at the Sweden Rock Festival again! When hip hop legend and actor Ice-T formed metal band Body Count there were many sceptics, but their eponymous 1992 debut...
